The NAAV hopes to bring awareness to the issue of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls through this screening. Wind River tells the story of an FBI agent and a wildlife officer that investigate the murder of a young Native American woman on a reservation in Wyoming.

This is an R rated film, all minors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Due to violence, nudity and R rating we strongly discourage the attendance of young children.

Registration is required

The families, friends, and communities of missing and murdered indigenous women and children can confirm that this epidemic is not a new occurrence to our state or our nation. The problem is magnified by the fact that the stories of the missing and murdered are not publicized by the mainstream media. We demand accountability from the perpetrators that have forcibly taken our loved ones. We stand in solidarity with those that seek to address the plight of the missing and murdered indigenous women and children in Oklahoma. The NAAV also supports similar efforts across the nation by bringing awareness through outreach, supporting families, and identifying and advocating for closing gaps in systemic response. The NAAV has created a space on our website for the missing and murdered native women and children of Oklahoma to reclaim their visibility. oknaav.org/missing-and-murdered
