9th Annual American Indian Day of Unity - Discover your strength

This year for our Day of Unity event, we are honored to have Marcia Ragland as the keynote speaker. Marcia a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and has served her fellow tribal members for the past 25 years. She has lived in southeastern Oklahoma for her whole life, just miles from the Tribal Capital grounds. She has honorably worked with survivors for the past 17 years, 13 of those working with survivors of sexual assault. She looks forward to continuing to serve survivors in this capacity for years to come. Marcia currently serves as the NAAV’s Region 4 Representative on our Board of Directors.

As part of the NAAV’s awareness materials for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we have created and produced a podcast that highlights the work that is being done to address the issue of domestic violence in Native communities and some tribal programs that are providing direct services to victims of violence. You can listen by clicking the button below.

For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the NAAV has created some fun phone lock screen designs and Facebook cover images for you to download and use. Access them below.

This will take you to a Google Drive folder where you can download the available ready-to-use Lockscreen Awareness images. Once downloaded, send the images to your phone through email or your preferred method. Then locate the image you want to use in your phone’s photo library where you can set it as your phone’s lock screen wallpaper.
