OKLAHOMA MISSING PERSONS DAY

Oklahoma Missing Persons Day to be observed on Saturday, April 14th, 2018. Edmond, Oklahoma – March 9, 2018 – The Oklahoma Missing Persons Day will be on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the University of Central Oklahoma Forensic Science Institute.

Families and friends of missing persons are encouraged to attend. Families may arrive between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Families can report a missing person and provide their DNA.

Families of missing persons will benefit from education and counseling between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. If you need to report a missing person and provide your DNA, please arrive early so you can also attend the education and counseling sessions.

Families will be able to complete a missing person report to law enforcement, provide additional investigative leads, enter the missing person into NamUs, and provide family reference DNA samples for entry into the FBI Combined DNA Index System (CODIS). Families may bring photographs, dental and medical records, and any other pertinent information from the missing person.

All resources are available at no cost to families. NamUs, including DNA services, are funded through the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). The University of Central Oklahoma Forensic Science Institute is located at 801 E. 2nd Street in Edmond, Oklahoma.
